both forever loved.
It began with an act of cruelty…
but it became a story of love.
On a quiet Las Vegas evening, a tiny kitten—only a few months old—was thrown from a moving car. His fragile body hit the pavement,
leaving him broken and helpless. Somehow, through pain and fear, he dragged himself to the safety of a nearby bush, clinging to life.
When he was found, his injuries were devastating—a broken leg, a dislocated hip, and a fractured pelvis. The odds were against him.
The road ahead would be painful, uncertain, and expensive. But even in that moment, through unimaginable pain, he did something extraordinary.
He reached out his paw… and purred. That single moment changed everything.
When Pam Magowan heard his story, she didn’t hesitate. She didn’t ask how much it would cost or whether it was worth saving him.
To her, there was no question—his life mattered. Quietly and selflessly, Pam stepped in as the anonymous donor who made his survival possible.
She covered every expense—surgeries, treatments, and care—whatever it took to give him a chance not only to live, but to heal fully.
Where others may have seen a burden, Pam saw a life worth saving. The kitten underwent complex surgery.
His leg was repaired, his body carefully pieced back together. But healing would require more than medical care.
It would take time, patience, and constant protection.
No running.
No jumping.
No rough play.
For a kitten, that kind of stillness is nearly impossible. Pam knew that. So she did something even more extraordinary. She brought him home.
Together with her husband, Clark, they created a safe space where he could recover—where he would be watched over, comforted, and loved every step of the way. What started as an act of kindness slowly turned into something much deeper. Day by day, as he healed, he became part of their lives. And somewhere along the way, without needing to say it out loud, they realized…
He wasn’t going anywhere. They named him Cody.
He was no longer just the miracle kitten. He was family.
Cody grew up surrounded by love, alongside his sister Willow, in a home where he was cherished beyond measure. The tiny, broken kitten who once fought just to survive went on to live a full and beautiful life—one filled with warmth, comfort, and belonging.
For 19 years, Cody was more than a pet. He was a reminder. A reminder that compassion can change everything. That one selfless act can rewrite an entire life.
Pam and Clark didn’t just save Cody.

and to step in when it matters most.
Their hearts, their kindness, and their unwavering compassion became the foundation of something greater.
The PAM Foundation was created to carry forward that same love.
